Fall meets Christmas --- Central Iowa Child Photographer

The great part of a custom photoshoot is that we can take the session in whatever we decide meets your needs. With these three little cuties we got two seasons taken care of at once. We took advantage of the beauty fall brings and also snapped some photos in their Christmas attire. Now, getting two seasons taken care of at once is impressive in my mind. Not from my standpoint as a photographer but from mom's side of the equation. Having all three kids Christmas clothes purchased by mid-October is one on-top-of-it mom who plans ahead.

Urban baby -- Central Iowa family photographer

Baby V turns one and to capture this very special milestone in her life, I headed downtown Des Moines with her family. I've been lucky enough to get to photograph Baby V since she was just a newborn. Like all my sessions with her, I always enjoy my time with her, mom and dad. They bring modern style, gorgeous smiles and total smitten looks for each other.

Planning for Holiday Cards -- Central Iowa Family Photographer

To capture little sister's six month milestone and to get a few images for their Christmas card, I got to hang out again with one of the cutest blond haired family of five here in Iowa. You first met them on my blog here....

Since mom plans to use a family image for their Christmas cards, I tired not to pick the best one to show in the sneak peek. I don't want to spoil it for their family and friends who might be receiving one.

Family of three -- Central Iowa Family Photographer

I met this cute family of three now in one of my favorite spots that I get to drive by each day. I call it the hidden path even though it's not so hidden at all... it just reminds me of one. Each season here in Iowa it screams my name inviting me in to take photographs or just take a walk with my family. Right now, the leaves are so beautiful making it a tunnel of warm, happy sunshine. Once the snow hits (sooner than later unfortunately), it's transformed into a magicial snow and ice runway. I'm glad I got to meet this cute family and their new little guy here at one of my favorite spots for their photo session.

Family in the fall -- Central Iowa family photographer

This fall in Iowa has been just wonderful. The light, colors, weather. etc. has all been making my job of taking photos of Iowa families even more fun. I get to spend time outside enjoying the summer weather with a fall atmosphere a while meeting new families. It's been great. Recently, I spent time with little guy S and his mom and dad. The were so sweet and laid back. The little guy was all serious during his photosession but we did manage to get him to crack a few of his adorable smiles that mom and dad says he sports all of the time. Happy Fall friends! I'm loving this beautiful Fall weather and how Iowa is looking right now. I'm crossing my fingers this weather continues through most of October. I'm almost booked full so I want the weather to be just perfect for all my clients.

Cute little guy -- Central Iowa Family Photographer

I met this cute family and their little guy in the park the other week. The light was beautiful and they were full of smiles making the session images turn out just perfect. Baby C was all deck out like a cute little man. Who says boys aren't as fun to dress. I beg to differ. All the little guys I am lucky enough to photograph bring their style. Baby C is no different.

I love how this photo shows how little baby C is in his daddy's arms at this age. And then the details of hand in hand and the size. Don't you wish your baby could stay this size forever in your arms?


These photos are just precious to me. The affection mom has for baby C is just priceless as she snuggles with him and fills him with love.
