Kid AND mom approved recipe
I hope everyone had a great holiday. We sure did and I'm bummed it's over. This is the first year Addison actually got the whole Santa thing so we had a blast from shopping for gifts, to making holiday decorations to opening presents Christmas Day. Kensington had fun too but she actually got tired of opening presents throughout the day and just wanted to play with her new baby doll.
I'm working on my recent sessions but wanted to take a break to share a quick recipe with my DKA followers. Specializing in newborn and young kids, I know moms like me are reading this blog and I thought this fiber pumpkin muffin recipe would be a good fit. Here's what I love about this muffin:
1 – It's SUPER easy (which is about the only type of recipes I can handle)
2 – It's full of fiber
3 – It's low in fat and is actually a Weight Watchers recipe (a.k.a, my mother-in-law's recipe)
4 – You can switch up the cake mix flavor to have variations
5 – It's a perfect breakfast and snack type muffin
6 – My kids love it and ask for more and more and more each time I make them
7 – I can bake normal sized muffins and baby sized muffins at the same time (if you so this, I pull the baby muffin tin out at about 18 mins.)
Fiber pumpkin muffin recipe
1 15-ounce can of pumpkin filling
1 box of cake mix (I've used chocolate, spice, white, red velvet before)
½ cup of water
Mix it all together and pour in muffin tins (you can use paper cups or just pour the mix directly into the pan, which is what I prefer)
Bake for 22-25 mins. at 350 degrees
And just to prove it's a kid approved recipe, here's a pic of Addison handing me her plate for the 3rd time tonight asking for more. Enjoy!

Just not going my way...
I'm a few days behind on getting your images out the door and in the mail to you. That's because they are on my computer that was/is currently broken and on my external hard drive that I've misplaced. So the story of my computer is that the charging plug in broke off in my computer so it has been at the Apple Store since Friday. We picked it up tonight and borrowed my brothers charger he didn't need (to save myself $80). Well the charger doesn't work so my computer is still at zero power. I guess tomorrow I just need to suck it up and buy a new charger for my computer. Then within an hour of having it home, my mom was over and acidently stepped on it. So it's still to be determined if the screen will work or not. As far as my hard drive, Chris and I looked in the key spots it could have been. I'm baffled to wear it's at. It was nearly 10 p.m. so I gave up looking and headed to bed.
Speaking of bed, I've been in it most of the afternoon evening. I came home from work not feeling well. I'm feeling better than I was earlier today but my stomach still feels funky. I found out my mom left work at 10 today with the same feelings as me. I'm hoping when I wake up tomorrow I'll be back to my normal self so I can get my ship back on course and get things done for you guys.
I apologize for the delay in your photos. I'll be in touch and will be posting a sneak peek on here soon!

A grandparent's gift
I've been behind on posting to blog as I'm sure you noticed. The holiday season has been keeping me super busy with my sessions and then just preparing for my own family and traditions. It's all fun though. I love the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas especially this year since Addison is old enough to "get" the whole idea of Santa. I hope you all are having luck gift shopping, having fun decorating your house, enjoying family time baking cookies, spending time celebrating with friends and family, etc. Happy holidays!
